The undersigned certifies that it is the owner of the hereinafter described real
property and for itself, its successors and assigns does hereby designate and
set aside for street and highway purposes, and offers to dedicate to the City of
Santa Monica an easement for public street and highway purposes, the herein-
after described real property:
All that certain parcel of land situated in Rancho San Vicente Y Santa [f'~E'E~ - D 1
Monica in the City of Santa Monica, County of Los Angeles, State of
California, being a portion of land described in deed dated August 10,
1894 from John P. Jones, et ale to Southern Pacific Railroad Company,
recorded August 11, 1894 in Deed Book 955, page 142, in the office of
the Recorder of said County, described as follows:
Commencing at the intersection of the southerly line of said land re-
corded in Deed Book 955, page 142 (said line being also the northerly
line of Exposition Boulevard, 60 feet wide, as shown on map of Tract
7993, recorded in Map Book 98, pages 89 to 91, in said office) with the
northwesterly prolongation of the northeasterly line of Stewart Street, 30
feet wide, as shown on the map of said Tract; thence along said southerly
line a distance of one foot to a point, said point being the True Point of
Beginning; thence along a line parallel with and distant easterly one foot
from the westerly line of the land described in deed to General Telephone
Company of California, recorded in Deed Book 3026, page 657, in said
office, North 13047' 07" West 298.30 feet to a point in the southerly line
of the Southern Pacific Railroad Company's Right-of-way, 100 feet wide,
lying 50 feet on each side of the centerline of said companyt s main track;
thence easterly along said boundary, being a curve concave southerly and
having a radius of 11,603.40 feet, through a central angle of 00 23' 24"
an arc distance of 79.00 feet; thence South 13047' 07" East 279.40 feet
to the beginning of a tangent curve, concave northeasterly and having a
radius of 20.00 feet; thence southerly and easterly along said curve an
arc distance of 31.42 feet to a tangent point in said northerly line of
Exposition Boulevard, said point being North 760 12' 53" East 99.00 feet
from the point of beginning; thence along said line of Exposition Boulevard
South 760 12' 53" West 99.00 feet to the point of beginning. The above
described parcel contains 23, 655 square feet.
