IN CONSIDERATION OF T EN DOLLARS (#10.00), receipt of which
is hereby acknowledged, PACIFIC ELECTRIC RAILWAY OOMPA~-Y, a California
corporation, whose permanent address is Los Angeles, California, does
hereby remise, release and forever quitclaim to the CITY OF SANTA MONICA,
a Mlnicipal Corporation of the state of California, all its right,
title and interest in and to all that real property situated in the City
of Santa. Monica, County of Los Angeles, state of California, conveyed
by the City of Santa. Monica to the Los Angeles Pacific Railroad Company
by deed recorded March 26, 19(J7 in Book 3014, Page 229 of Deeds,
Los Angeles County Records, described in said deed as follows:
Commencing at the intersection of the present South
property line of Utah Avenue projected with the
present westerly curb line of Ocean Avenue; running
thence Westerly along the said curb, line of Utah
Avenue projected forty-two (42) feet to a point;
thence at right angles Southerly and parallel with
Ocean Avenue seventy (70) feet to a point; thence
at right angles Easterly and parallel with said
first course forty-two (42) feet to the westerly
curb line of Ocean Avenue; thence Northerly along
said curb line seventy (70) feet to the point of
beginning; said plat of ground being within what
is known as Linda Vista Park.
The above described land hereby conveyed is not necessary or
useful in the performance of the duties of said Pacific Electric Railway
Company to the public.
