RE: Letter of Resignation from Arts Commission
Good Evening Mayor Sue Himmelrich, Mayor Pro-Tem Kristin McCowan, and City
Councilmembers.
Thanks to your continued support and appreciation of my previous work on the Public Safety
Reform Advisory Committee, I was appointed to the city's Public Safety Oversight
Commission. As such, I am hereby resigning from my appointment as Arts Commissioner. I
am thankful for the heartwarming welcome I received when first participating as an Arts
Commissioner. It has been a pleasure collaborating with such a creative and remarkable group
of artists and art enthusiasts. I look forward to seeing the exceptional art programming coming
forth from this brilliant Commission.
Reimaging public safety is a pivotal undertaking that will forever change policing in Santa
Monica. I'm up for the challenge and ready to do the work.
Thank you for allowing me to continue to be of service.
In Gratitude,
Angela
Angela D. Scott
