The idea of building houses and homeless shelters is disgusting, and will ruin the city that is ALREADY BUILDING HOMELESS APARTMENTS in a parking lot, right next to the StM PIER, and this will DRIVE AWAY TOURISTS If you are trying to DESTROY SANTA MONICA< you are SUCCEEDING. Also, what about the FILTH AND CRIME ON THE METRO LINE? How about building a final ENCLOSED BUILDING at End of Line, that NO ONE CAN LEAVE WITHOUT SHOWING A VALID TICKET And that locks in people until they PAY for their transit. I have never seen such filth, and was recently assaulted riding the Metro to the IMAX Theatre, And there is NO ONE ON THE TRAIN to protect passengers… A stupid sign says to CALL someone on the phone for emergencies ????? We are told point blank that the city has insufficient funds for code enforcement in our neighborhood, yet staff is assuming that $3M is an acceptable expense for a useless, nonbinding exercise in confusion? City staff can’t not punch their way out of a paper bag. We have lost our best staff members. You can not create the future with uneducated ‐ have you seen the news in Israel? 1. There is no money to destroy an airport and build a park. No water. 2. The airport is the greatest asset for the future. 3. Development is not an option ‐ traffic is already too much. Only option: Turn the airport into a fully electric airport by 2035. Develop slowly and wisely.
