Hello Amanda and Dean,
As I consider my upcoming work and family schedule, I find myself incapable of completing this (and other) required trainings in a timely way, nor do I see myself able to be an effective member of the commission this year. That being the case, I believe the right thing to do is to resign my position, and allow the city council to appoint someone else that would be more effective.
I would like to thank you both and tell you how much I have appreciated serving with this group. I have learned so much from both of you (and others involved). Please let me know if there is anything else other than this email I need to do for my resignation.
