Subject: Resignation letter
Dear Commissioner Masucci,
With regrets, I have made the decision to resign from my position as Santa Monica Arts Commissioner as well as my membership in
the Digital Arts Ad Hoc Committee. I've been struggling with family obligations for the last year and a half due to my mother's
illness. After many extended trips to her home, she's moved in with me so I can serve as her full‐time caregiver. It has been
overwhelming and I've been unable to attend art related events in Santa Monica and LA and to be involved with public events. I
don't feel I've been able to perform my duties and do just service to my post at this time.
It has been truly enjoyable being in the company of the passionate members of the Arts Commission and I look forward to seeing
the new projects that will soon be realized in Santa Monica. I have been particularly inspired by your incredible commitment to the
work of enriching the city with all arts, and your vision of promoting cutting edge digital art.
Please advise me of the resignation process beyond this notification .
