EXTERNAL
Hi everyone,
I appreciate that you are bringing this item to the Council agenda. I would urge that the city attorney and all
of you take a very, very careful look at the criteria for religious exemptions. A "pastor" in Sacramento is
offering phony religious exemption letter. Although the law would not require you to accept a religious
exemption of this kind from front‐facing staff such as first responders. it seems important that we match city
policy to other vaccines, where we do not allow religious exemptions lest children die. There are right wing
pastors in many of the areas where our first responders live. I hope that on Tuesday you will all clarify what
exemptions you are granting ‐ except for legitimate medical reasons, with daily testing at the employees'
expense, I know of no scientific fact that would support this exemption.

It comes to my attention that our police force are not following vaccination requirements for Covid 19. How atrocious is
this our fair city initial front line workers are not vaccinated.
Who is passing this contagious disease the police to the homeless and our city population.
This is a health problem for our citizens and tourists.
When will the council address this issue?

Please make vaccinations mandatory for all police, fire and any other City employees that come into contact with the
public..masks are not enough and often the vector shows no symptoms .. the claim of "religious exemption" is ridiculous
... if it's a very authentic medical exemption ‐ fine. but investigate each one please to make sure the doctors issuing it are
reputable.
I have had ( and heard from others ) that police refuse to answer calls they don't feel like answering ‐ often those of
women in danger by stating the site was exposed to Covid..when it hasn't and no one told them that.. these people
make a ton of money and need to take their fat jobs more seriously‐ called " Protect and Serve"..not "Expose and
ignore"... we are suffering from two pandemics‐ one we can and need to deal with ‐ the virus.. the other we are in more
trouble with down the line ..called stupidity and selfishness.. it's abundant in this town these days...

How about a City ordinance requiring all employees to be vaccinated? Especially firefighters and police!

Dear City Board Members,

that the City Council express its position that, to protect the health and safety of both City

Please vote NO.
I am going to make this email short. Please exercise common sense. This is about personal
choice and one's sovereignty over their own bodies. There has to be personal choice. There
are smart people who dont want the vaccine.
Please vote NO
You are protecting the health and safety of city employees by not mandating this product.
Those who want to use this product can get it. Those who do not want too, have human rights
and fundamental sovereignty over their bodies.
The CDC says that 'Today, some of those data were published in CDC’s Morbidity
and Mortality Weekly Report (MMWR), demonstrating that Delta infection
resulted in similarly high SARS-CoV-2 viral loads in vaccinated and
unvaccinated people. High viral loads suggest an increased risk of
transmission and raised concern that, unlike with other variants, vaccinated
people infected with Delta can transmit the virus."

regarding this issue? When is the next CC meeting?

Subject:City Council Meeting August 24, 2021 - Items 3D (Free Bus) and 13F (Mandatory Vaccination)
EXTERNAL
Dear City Council -
I support approval of Item 3D for free bus rides for K-12 students. The discounted monthly passes
still cost too much to encourage less frequent ridership and this is important to getting kids to/from
Samohi.
I support approval of Item 13F requiring vaccinations for employees, volunteers, and contractors. This
is essential to reducing the negative impact of Covid and I hope SMMUSD does the same, including
for students for whom the vaccine has been approved.
Please add this to the public record of each item.
Thanks,
Nikki Kolhoff
