Dear Ms. Gentles,
Please forward on my resignation from the Santa Monica Personnel Board, effective once a new member is identified
and ready to serve (1st Quarter 2021).
As we’ve discussed, after having already served two full terms and one 3‐year partial term, I believe the City should have
an opportunity to recruit an effective and fresh perspective to the Board. Please know it has been my enormous
pleasure to serve and I will truly treasure my 13+ years on the Personnel Board.
And on a personal note, thank you for your support, professionalism and responsiveness. The Personnel Board, and the
City of Santa Monica is fortunate to have you leading its Human Resources efforts most particularly during such a
challenging year.
