A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
ESTABLISHING NEW CLASSIFICATIONS AND ADOPTING SALARY RATES FOR
THE FOLLOWING NEW OR EXISTING CLASSIFICATIONS: COMMUNICATIONS
AND PUBLIC INFORMATION MANAGER, FIREFIGHTER – PREVENTION (LATERAL
TRANSFER), JUNIOR POOL LIFEGUARD, MOTOR COACH OPERATOR TRAINEE,
RECYCLING ASSISTANT, STUDENT WORKER, TRADES INTERN, AND VIDEO
STUDENT INTERN
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The following salary levels are hereby established, effective July 3,
2022, for the indicated classifications:

$169,812.00/annual Change of Existing
Classification Title
Junior Pool Lifeguard $15.96/hour Align with Minimum Wage
Recycling Assistant $18.17/hour Align with Living Wage

Trades Intern $18.17/hour Align with Living Wage
Video Student Intern $15.96/hour Align with Minimum Wage
SECTION 2. The following salary level is hereby established, effective July 3,
2022, for the indicated classification:

SECTION 3. The following salary level is hereby established, effective
August 28, 2022, for the indicated classification:

SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution, and
thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
