A special meeting of the Santa Monica City Council was called to order by Mayor Himmelrich at 5:35p.m., on
Wednesday, January 12, 2022, via teleconference pursuant to Assembly Bill No. 361 signed by Governor
Gavin Newsome at https://primetime.bluejeans.com/a2m/live-event/fkwfazju.

Mayor Pro Tem Kristin McCowan (arrived at 5:38 p.m.)
Councilmember Phil Brock
Councilmember Gleam Davis
Councilmember Lana Negrete
Councilmember Oscar de la Torre
Councilmember Christine Parra
Also Present: City Manager David White
Interim City Attorney Joseph Lawrence
City Clerk Denise Anderson-Warren
CONVENE On order of the Mayor, the City Council convened at 5:35 p.m., with all
members present except Mayor Pro Tem McCowan.
CLOSED SESSIONS

arrived at 5:38 p.m.
Councilmembers de la Torre
and Parra were excused at
9:43 p.m.
There was no one present for public comment on closed sessions.
On order of the Mayor, the City Council recessed at 5:37 p.m., to consider
closed sessions and returned at 9:45 p.m., with all members present, except
Councilmembers de la Torre and Parra to report the following:
1.A. Public Employee Appointment: Title – City Attorney
The Mayor advised this matter was heard with no reportable action taken.
ADJOURNMENT On order of the Mayor, the City Council meeting adjourned at 9:45 p.m.
