CITY OF SANTA MONICA:AUTHORIZING THE:CY'i�Y
MANAGER TO
EXECUTE GED
CONVEYING CITY OWNED BEACH LANDS To THE
STATE OF CALIFORNIA.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS.
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be and he hereby
is authorized to execute that certain grant deed whereby the
City of Santa Monica grants to the State of California certain
beach lands owned by the City and which quitclaims the CityYs
interest in and to certain tide lands conveyed to the City
of Santa Monica by the State of California; a copy of which
grant deed is attached hereto.
SECTION 2. That the. City Manager hereby is authorized
to do all things necessary to complete the transfer of said
lands by the City to the State and to execute any necessary
escrow instructions, to enter into any necessary escrow pur—
suant thereto and to procure policies of title insurance in
favor of the State of California.
SECTION 3. The City Controller hereby is authorized
to make any expenditures necessitated by virtue of the authority
granted to the City Manager by this resolution -
SECTION 4. That the City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this resolution and thenceforth and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
