AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SM~TA MONICA AMENDING THE
PROVISIONS OF SECTION 8513A AND 8525A
OF THE SANTA MONICA MUNICIPAL CODE TO
EXCLUDE APPLICATION OF THOSE SECTIONS
TO POLITICAL SIGNS.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES
HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
The provislons of Sect~on 8513A and
Sectlon 8S25A are hereby made ~nappllcable to pol~t~cal slgns.
SECTION 2.
This ord~nance shall go lnto effect
immed~ately pursuant to Sect~on 619 of the C~ty Charter
authorizing ord~nances to control elections.
SECTION 3.
The Mayor shall sign and the city Clerk
shall attest to the passage of this ordlnance. The C~ty Clerk
shall cause the same to be publlshed once in the off~cal newspaper
wlth~n flfteen (15) days after its adoption. The ordinance shall
become effect~ve after th~rty (30) days from ~ts adoption.
