A special meeting of the Santa Monica City Council was called to order by Mayor Himmelrich at 4:30 p.m.,
on Tuesday, March 9, 2021, via teleconference pursuant to the Governor’s Executive Order N-29-20 at

CONVENE
On order of the Mayor, the City Council convened at 4:30 p.m., with all
members present except Councilmember de la Torre.
CLOSED SESSIONS
There was no public comment on closed sessions.
On order of the Mayor, the City Council recessed at 4:33 p.m., to consider
closed sessions and returned at 5:32 p.m., with Councilmember de la Torre
absent, to report the following:
1.A. Consultation with Police Chief Jacqueline Seabrooks: Gov.
Code Section 54957(a) --Threat to Security of Public Buildings or
Essential Public Services.
The Interim City Attorney advised this matter was heard with no reportable
action taken.
