AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA MONICA AMENDING SECTIONS 9l0BB 9109B,
AND 9110B OF CHAPTER 1, ARTICLE IX OF THE SANTA
MONICA MUNICIPAL CODE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Section 9l08B of Chapter 1, Article IX of the
Santa Monica Municipal Code is hereby amended by adding thereto sub-
section 9l08B8 to read as follows:
SECTION 9l08B8. Lot Coverage. Other sections of
this Chapter notwithstanding, on any lot, combination of lots,
or building site, that area occupied by buildings or structures,
including garages and accessory buildings, and appurtenances
thereto, shall not exceed 60% of the total lot area of such
lot, lots or building site and that 1/2 of such lot area not
covered shall be in landscaped areas, except that such require-
ments shall not apply to any lot, combination of lots or build-
ing site containing not more than 6000 square feet provided,
however, that the percentage of lot coverage may be increased
to 60% of the total lot area if the lot, notwithstanding the
zoning classification, is developed in compliance with the
IrR_2" District Property Development Standards. as amended, set
forth in Section 9108B hereof.
SECTION 2. Section 9l09B of Chapter 1, Article IX of the
Santa Monica Municipal Code is hereby amended by adding thereto sub-
ection 9l09B8 to read as follows:
