AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SA1~TA MONICA AUTHORIZING AN ~lliND~~NT TO THE
CONTRACT BETwEEN THE CITY COUNCIL AND THE BOARD
OF ADMINISTRATION OF THE CALIFORNIA PUBLIC
E~WLOYEES' RETIREMENT SYSTEM.
SECTION I.
The City Council of the City of Santa Monica does ordain as follows;
SE-CTION 2.
SECTION 3.
That an amendment to the Contract (839 CS) between the City
Council of the City of Santa Monica and the Board of Admin-
istration, California Public Employees' Retirement System,
is hereby authorized, a copy or said amend~ent being
attached hereto, marked "Exhibit A", and by such reference
made a part hereof as though herein set out in full. Said
contract is amended by this ordinance to include the pro-
.- visions of the "2% at age 50" and "1/2 continuance" bene-
fits for police personnel.
The City Manager of the City of Santa Monica is hereby auth-
orized, empo~ered, and directed to execute said amend~ent
for and on behalf of said Agency.
This ordinance shall take effect 30 days after the date of
its adoption, and prior to the expiration of 15 days from
the passage thereof shall be published at least once in the
Santa Monica Evening Outlook, a newspaper of general circu-
lation, published and circulated in the City of Santa ~wnica
and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full
force and effect.
