ORDINANCE NO. 951
(CITY COUNCIL SERIES)
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA AMENDING SECTION 8700, CHAPTER 7, ARTICLE VIII,
OF THE SANTA MONICA MUNICIPAL CODE WHICH RELATES TO
THE ADOPTION OF THE 1973 UNIFORM MECHANICAL CODE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Sectlon 8700 of the Santa Monlca Munlc1pal Code
1S hereby amended to read as follows:
SECTION 8700. That certain document, three copies of
which are on f1le ln the office of the City Clerk for use and
examlnatlon by the publlC, entltled "Uniform Mechanlcal Code, 1973
Edltlon" hereby is adopted as the mechanical code of the Clty of
Santa Monlca and shall be deslgnated as the "Mechanlcal Code."
Each and all of the regulations, provlslons, penaltles,
condit1ons, and terms of sald Mechanlcal Code are made a part here-
of as though fully set forth herein.
No person shall erect, construct, enlarge, alter, re-
pair, move, remove, convert, demollsh, occupy, equip, use or maln-
taln any bUlldlng or structure, or fixture attached thereto, In
violation of the regulatlons contained In sald code hereby adopted.
SECTION 2. The Mayor shall slgn and the Clty Clerk shall attest
to the passage of thlS ordlnance. The Clty Clerk shall cause the same to
be publlshed once ln the offlclal newspaper wlthln fifteen days after lts
adoptlon.
