A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA ACCEPTING A
DONATION TO MAINTAIN AND SERVICE THE ETERNAL MEADOW AND GREEN
BURIAL SECTION OF WOODLAWN CEMETERY
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Monica, on behalf of Woodlawn Cemetery, wishes
to accept a donation in the amount of $500,000 for exclusive use by Woodlawn
Cemetery to maintain and to service the Eternal Meadow and the green burial section.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. On behalf of Woodlawn Cemetery, the City accepts a donation in
the amount of $500,000 for exclusive use by Woodlawn Cemetery for the care and
maintenance of the Eternal Meadow, including new zero emissions equipment that will
enhance the funeral and memorial services for families. The City Manager is authorized
to execute all documents necessary for the acceptance of the donation.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution, and
thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
