A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
AMENDING PREFERENTIAL PARKING ZONES F AND V
WHEREAS, the preferred parking requirements established in Santa Monica
Municipal Code Section 3.08 are intended to regulate and manage traffic and parking
circulation; and
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Monica (“City”) received and verified petitions
requesting an amendment of the City’s preferential parking zones to include the
designated area described below; and
WHEREAS, the petitions were signed by residents living in two-thirds (67%)
of the dwelling units comprising not less than fifty percent (50%) of the developed frontage
of the proposed preferential parking zone; and
WHEREAS, upon receiving and verifying the petitions, the City’s Planning and
Community Development Department undertook such studies and surveys deemed
necessary to determine whether a preferential parking zone should be created in the
designated area described below.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Council hereby finds that the proposed area meets the
designation criteria set forth in Santa Monica Municipal Code Section 3.08.040.
SECTION 2. The City Council hereby amends Preferential Parking Zone F. The
regulations for Preferential Parking Zone F are as follows:
No vehicle shall be parked adjacent to any curb for more than two hours between
the hours of 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. daily, except by permit on the following streets:
1. Copeland Court, Hill Street, Raymond Avenue, Ashland Avenue, Pier Avenue,
and Marine Street between Highland Avenue and Lincoln Boulevard,
2. Ruskin Street and Bentley Court between Marine Street and street end.
SECTION 3. The City Council hereby amends Preferential Parking Zone V. The
regulations for Preferential Parking Zone V are as follows:
No vehicle shall be parking adjacent to any curb for more than two hours
between the hours of 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. daily, except by permit on the following streets:
1. Hill Street, Ashland Avenue, Wilson Place, and Pier Avenue between Lincoln
Boulevard and 11th Street,
2. Marine Street and Ozone Avenue between Lincoln Boulevard and Glenn
Court,
3. 10th Street between Ashland Avenue and street end,
4. 11th Street between Ashland and Ozone avenues, and
5. Glenn Avenue between Ashland Avenue and Marine Street.
No vehicle shall be parked adjacent to any curb between the hours of 8 a.m. and
6 p.m. daily, except by permit on the following streets:

1. Pine and Maple Streets between Lincoln Boulevard and 10th Street
SECTION 4. Vehicles displaying valid residential parking permits for the proper
zone shall be exempt from posted preferential parking regulations in Preferential Parking
Zone F and Zone V.
SECTION 5. Exhibit A to this Resolution, attached hereto and incorporated herein
by reference, hereby delineates all preferential parking zones established in the City,
including, but not limited to Zone F and Zone V.
SECTION 6. If there are any inconsistencies between the provisions adopted in
this Resolution and any adopted prior resolution, the provisions of this Resolution shall
take precedence.
SECTION 7. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution, and
thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
