13.F Request of Councilmember Winterer and Mayor Davis that the Urban Forest
Task Force be reconstituted for a period of seven years with the same
criteria for membership as set forth in the staff report and Council action of
April 10, 2012, and with the same purposes, but also to include acting as an
advisory body to support development and implementation of a private tree
ordinance, that the Task Force be expanded to comprise nine members,
and that the City Clerk be authorized to publish the vacancies.

A new item has just been added to the Tuesday, July 23 meeting of the Santa Monica City Council agenda.
It deals with recommendations from Councilman Ted Winterer and Mayor Gleam Davis to EXPAND the Urban Forest
Task Force from 7 members to 9 members to support development and implementation of a private tree ordinance and
publish notice of vacancies.
Thanks tree‐mendously to the City Staff, Council, Task Force members and community for supporting this tree friendly
item!
