A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT FOR KATIE LICHTIG AS
ASSISTANT CITY MANAGER/CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER AND ANUJ GUPTA AS
DEPUTY CITY MANAGER/DIRECTOR OF POLICY
WHEREAS, authorized representatives of the City of Santa Monica and Katie
Lichtig have reached agreement on wages, hours, and other terms and conditions of
employment; and
WHEREAS, authorized representatives of the City of Santa Monica and Anuj
Gupta have reached agreement on wages, hours, and other terms and conditions of
employment; and
WHEREAS, the salaries and benefits for the Assistant City Manager/Chief
Operating Officer and the Deputy City Manager/Director of Policy positions are included
in the FY 2017-18 budget in the City Manager's Office.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Santa Monica hereby approves and
authorizes the City Manager to execute an individual employment agreement with Katie
Lichtig.
SECTION 2. The City Council of the City of Santa Monica hereby approves and
authorizes the City Manager to execute an individual employment agreement with Anuj
Gupta.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution, and
thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
