Recommended Action
Staff recommends that City Council adopt the attached Ordinance.
Executive Summary
At its meeting on May 8, 2018, the City Council introduced for first reading an ordinance
adding Chapter 4.27, titled Tenant Protection to the Santa Monica Municipal Code,
making clerical changes to Article 4 of the Santa Monica Municipal Code and adding
Section 4.27.050 limiting no-fault evictions of students and educators during the school
year.
The ordinance is now presented to City Council for adoption.
