A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR GRANT FUNDS FOR CALIFORNIA
CLIMATE INVESTMENTS URBAN GREENING PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Legislature and Governor of the State of California have provided
grant funds for the California Climate Investments Urban Greening Program (the
"Program"); and
WHEREAS, the California Natural Resources Agency has been delegated the
responsibility for the administration of this grant program, establishing necessary
procedures; and
WHEREAS, said procedures established by the California Natural Resources
Agency require a resolution certifying the approval of application(s) to receive grant
funds from the Program by the City Council of the City of Santa Monica before
submission of said application(s) to the State; and
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Monica ("City"), if selected, will enter into an
agreement with the State of California to accept and use the grant funds in accordance
with the Program requirements.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Santa Monica approves the filing of
an application for California Climate Investments Urban Greening Program (the
"Program") grant funds to fund implementation of the Lincoln Neighborhood Corridor Plan
Streetscape Improvements (the "Project').
SECTION 2. The City Council of the City of Santa Monica understands the
assurances and certification in the Program application.
SECTION 3. The City Council of the City of Santa Monica certifies that the City of
Santa Monica (the "City") will have sufficient funds to operate and maintain the Project
consistent with the land tenure requirements, or will secure the resources to do so.
SECTION 4. The City Council of the City of Santa Monica certifies that the City
will comply with the provisions of Section 1771.5 of the State Labor Code.
SECTION 5. The City Council of the City of Santa Monica certifies that the Project
will comply with any applicable laws and regulations including, but not limited to, legal
requirements for building codes, health and safety codes, disabled access laws,
environmental laws and, that prior to commencement of construction, all applicable
permits will have been obtained.
SECTION 6. The City Council of the City of Santa Monica certifies that the City
will work towards the Governor's State Planning Priorities intended to promote equity,
`a
strengthen the economy, protect the environment, and promote public health and safety
as included in Government Code Section 65041.1.
SECTION 7. The City Council of the City of Santa Monica appoints the City
Manager, or designee, as agent to conduct all negotiations, execute and submit all
documents including, but not limited to applications, agreements, payment requests and
so on, which may be necessary for the completion of the Project.
SECTION 8. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution, and
thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
