Recommended Action
Staff recommends that City Council adopt the attached Ordinance establishing
Community Choice aggregation through the Los Angeles Community Choice Energy
(LACCE) Joint Powers Authority pursuant to the public utilities code.
Executive Summary
At its meeting on December 5, 2017, the City Council introduced for first reading an
ordinance establishing Community Choice aggregation through the Los Angeles
Community Choice Energy (LACCE) Joint Powers Authority pursuant to the public
utilities.
The ordinance is now presented to City Council for adoption.

Honorable Council Members,
The American Coalition for Sustainable Communities has been researching
Community Choice Aggregation and/or Community Choice Energy proposals
sweeping the State of California. We recently reviewed the LA CCE and want to
share our concerns with cities in Los Angeles County considering joining the LA CCE.
ACSC asks that you share this information with the City Manager, City Council, and
others involved with this decision.
