Subject: Ordinance Amending the Zoning Ordinance (Chapters 9.01 Through 9.52 of
Article 9 Of The Santa Monica Municipal Code) To Ensure Consistency with
the Goals and Policies of the Downtown Community Plan and Incorporate by
Reference Certain Design Standards in Chapter 4 of the Downtown
Community Plan
Recommended Action
Staff recommends that City Council adopt the attached Ordinance.
Executive Summary
At its meeting on July 25, 2017, the City Council introduced for first reading an
ordinance amending the Zoning Ordinance (Chapters 9.01 through 9.52 of Article 9 of
the Santa Monica Municipal Code) to ensure consistency with the goals and policies of
the Downtown Community Plan, and incorporate by reference certain design standards
in Chapter 4 of the Downtown Community Plan.
The ordinance is now presented to City Council for adoption.
