Recommended Action
Staff recommends that City Council adopt the attached Ordinance amending Municipal
Code 7.16.050.
Executive Summary
At its meeting on May 9, 2017, the City Council introduced for first reading an ordinance
amending Santa Monica Municipal Code Section 7.16.050, to require that new
development off -set water use on -site or off -site, or, alternatively, pay the City an in -lieu
fee to fund retrofitt ing of plumbing fixtures off -site.
The ordinance is now presented to City Council for adoption.
