Recommended Action
Staff recommends that City Council adopt the attached Ordinance.
Executive Summary
At its meeting on April 26, 2016, the City Council introduced for first reading an
ordinance amending Santa Monica Municipal Code Chapter 4.62 requiring a minimum
wage for employees, Chapter 4.63 requiring a living wage for hotel workers, and
Chapter 4.65 requiring a living wage for certain City contractors.
The ordinance is now presented to City Council for adoption.
