Introduction
This report recommends that City Council authorize Change Order No. 2 to
the Palisades Park Senior Center Addition construction contract with
Miano Construction Company in the amount of $10,844.67.
Background
A contract for construction of an addition to the Senior Recreation
Center, 1450 Ocean Avenue, was awarded to Miano Construction Company on
April 14, 1981.
The existing senior center building is in need of re- roofing, Miano
Construction has submitted a price to completely re -roof the existing
building at the same time the Addition roof is installed.
Staff feels that the General Contractor can best coordinate the roofing
work and a savings (up to $1,000) results from having the same contrac-
tor roof both areas,
$12,000 is b.udgeted under Account No. 01- 400 - 511400 -906 to replace the
existing 25--year old rock roof,
Recommendation
Staff recommends City Council authorize Change. Order No, 2 for the'Addi:tion
to the Palisades Park Senior Center Addition, Construction Contract No, 3433
(CCS) in the amount of $10,844.67.
