SUBJECT: Recommendation to award bid for control valve.

Introduction
This report concerns award of bid in the amount of $5,512.00,
including tax, for one (1) control valve to be installed at the
Arcadia Water Plant. Funds are budgeted in job account number
65300 -004.
Background
In response to published Notice Inviting Bids to furnish and
deliver a control valve in accordance with City specifications,
bids were received and publicly opened and read August 21, 1979.
Proposal packages were mailed to eleven (11) prospective suppliers
and notices were advertised in accordance with City Charter and
Municipal Code provisions. Four (4) bids were received as listed
on the attached Summ- ° Bids.
Recommendation
It is recommended that t::e -, ard be made to Taylor- Jett Company,
as the lowest and best bidder, in the total amount of $5,512.00,
including tax.
