SUBJECT: Recommendation to award bid for Water Service Fittings
BID NO: 1496
INTRODUCTION
This report concerns award of water service fittings in the total
amount of $16,433.70, including tax. Funds are available in account
number 38- 955 - 200 -000 -000, Water Department Revolving Inventory.
These fittings are charged to individual work order accounts as
issued.
BACKGROUND
In response to published Notice Inviting Bids to furnish and deliver
water service fittings in accordance with specifications, bids were
received and publicly opened and read February 5, 1980. Proposal
packages were mailed to thirty -nine (39) potential suppliers and
notices were advertised in accordance with City Charter and ?Municipal
Code provisions. Four (4) bids were received as listed on the attached
Summary of bids. The asterisks ( *) on the Summary indicate the bidder
from whom each item will be purchased. The City's right to award as
to each item is a stated condition of the bid proposal.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the award be made as follows with each being
the lowest and best bid on each item listed below.
