Recommended Action
Staff recommends that the City Council adopt the attached ordinance.
Executive Summary
At its meeting on April 28, 2015, the City Council introduced for first reading an
ordinance adding Chapter 6.20 to the Santa Monica Municipal Code, clarifying
prohibitions against vacation rentals and imposing regulations on home sharing. The
ordinance is now presented to the City Council for adoption.
