SUBJECT: Recommendation to award bid for Refuse Bin Parts
BID NO. 1502
INTRODUCTION
This report concerns award of bid in the amount of $4,484.33
including tax, for Refuse Bin Parts. This purchase will be charged
to account number 80- 975 - 127 - 000 -000, Refuse Bin Revolving Account.
BACKGROUND
These parts are used in the repair of damaged two -yard containers
at the City Yards. In response to published Notice Inviting Bids
to furnish and deliver the container parts per specifications, bids
were received and publicly opened and read February 21, 1980.
Proposals were mailed to eight (8) steel fabricators and notices
were published in accordance with City Charter and Municipal Code
provisions. Three (3) bids were received as listed on the attached
Summary of Bids.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the award be made to Cubic Container
Manufacturers, in the amount of $3,988.25, to Peabody - Dewald in
the amount of $360.40 and to consolidated Fabricators in the amount
of $135.68 all including applicable tax,

moved to approve the staff recommendation and awarT the Contract No.
3462 CCS) by issuance of P, 0. No. 43439 to Cubic Containers, P. 0. No.
-43445 to Peabody Dewald and P. 0. No. 43446 to Consolidated Fabricators.
