SUBJECT: Recommendation to award bid for portable cardiac monitor -
defibrillator unit. Bid No. 1481
Introduction
This report concerns award of bid for a new portable cardiac
telemetry system and monitor - defibrillator unit in the total amount
of $4,748.80, including tax. Funds for this purchase are budgeted
in 1979 -80 fiscal year account 01- 300 -311- 000 -950, Fire Department.
Background
In response to published Notice Inviting Bids to furnish and deliver
a portable cardiac monitor - defibrillator unit in accordance with
City specifications, three bids were received and publicly opened
and read September 18, 1979. Proposal packages were mailed to ten
(10) prospective suppliers and notices were advertised in accordance
with City Charter and Municipal Code provisions.
Recommendation
It is recommended that the award be made to Medical Life Systems,
Inc. as the lowest and best bidder, in the total amount of $4,748.80,
including tax.
