Authority is also requested for an additional appro- priation of $17,000.00 from "Surplus Available for Appropriation" to cover this land purchase, appraisal fees and incidental costs in con- nection with the escrow. $60,000.00 has been provided in this fiscal yearts budget under the Sanitation Division which can be used as partial payment for.the acquisition of the Simons property. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA HEREBY DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: WmEREAS, the city :ins desirous of purchasing certain real property in the City of Santa Monica now owned by the Simons Brick Company; and WHEREAS, funds for the purchase of such property are available; NOW, T1iEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL DOES FURTHER RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the grant Deed, a copy of which is attached hereto, whereby the Simons Brick Company grants to the City of Santa Monica that certain real property described in said deed, be and the same hereby is approved and accepted. SECTION 2. That the City Attorney hereby is directed to deposit said deed and a certified copy of this resolution in the Title Insurance and Trust Company, Escrow No. 2678061- WRJ : lo. SECTION 3.
