SUBJECT: Recommendation to award bid for Removing and Repairing
Fence
BID NO. 1510
INTRODUCTION
This report concerns the award of bid for removing and repairing
fence in the total amount of $14,256.00, including applicable sales
tax. Funds for this purchase are in account number 65700 -000, Water
Enterprise.
BACKGROUND
In response to published Notice Inviting Bids to furnish and deliver
and install 2,600 feet chain link fence in accordance with City
specifications, located at the Enterprise Water Division, bids
were received and publicly opened and read April 17, 1980. Proposal
forms were mailed to seventy -one (71) fence contractors and notices
were advertised in accordance with City Charter and Municipal Code
provisions. Three (3) proposals were received as listed on the
attached Summary of Bids.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended for Public Safety, that the award be made to
Pacific Fence Company, in the total amount of $14,256.00, including
tax, as the lowest and best bidder.
