Subject: Lincoln Park Tennis Court and Security Lighting -- Award of Contract
Introduction
This report recommends that the City Council award a contract for construction
of tennis court flood lighting and security lighting at Lincoln Park to the
lowest responsible bidder.
Background
This project was approved and funds in the amount of $75,000 are in the
1979 -80 budget. Bids for the Lincoln Park lighting will be opened on May 9, 1980
in the City Council Chambers.
The City Engineer's estimate of the cost of the construction is $68,600.
Recommendation
It is recommended that this contract be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder
to be named in a supplemental staff report.

Electric Co., the lowest responsible bidder, in the amount of $72,000.
Background
This project was approved and funds in the amount of $75,000 are available in
the 1979 -80 budget, encumbered in W.O. 79872 -000. Bids for the Lincoln Park
lighting were opened on May 9, 1980 in the Employees' Lounge and read publicly
by the Deputy City Clerk.
Plans and specifications were issued to 15 contractors. Eleven bids were
received as follows:
