SUBJECT: Amendment to Audit Contract - Peat, Marwick, Mitchell and Company
Background
On May 13, 1980 the Council approved a contract for City Audit services with Peat,
Marwick, Mitchell and Company.
Discussion
Inasmuch as the Redevelopment Agency must also be audited and Peat, Marwick, Mitchell
is familiar with the Agency accounting system as a result of their work for the
City, it is recommended that the existing contract be amended to include the Rede-
velopment Agency work. The cost of this additional work is estimated at $5,500
(reimbursable by the Agency).
Recommendation
It is recommended the Council approve an amendment to the contract with Peat,
Marwick, Mitchell and Company for Redevelopment Agency audit services in an amount
not -to- exceed Five Thousand, Five Hundred Dollars ($5,500).
