SUBJECT: Recommendation to award bid for landscape maintenance.

Introduction
This report concerns award of bid for landscape maintenance
r
of 17 designated sides in the total amount of $39,000.00, including tax.
Funds for this maintenance are budgeted in 1980 -81 fiscal year
account 01- 400 -511- 000 -501, Recreation and Parks.
Background
In response to published Notice Inviting Bids to maintain 17
designated sites for landscaping in accordance with City
specifications, two bids were received and publicly opened and read
June 5, 1980. Proposal packages were mailed to (10) prospective
suppliers and notices were advertised in accordance with City
Charter and Municipal Code provisions.
Recommendation
It is recommended that the award be made to California Landscape
Maintenance, Inc. as the lowest and best bidder, in the total amount
of $39,000.00 including tax.
