SUBJECT: Recommendation to award bid for Beach Rental Concession
BID NO. 1511
Introduction
This concession, located as in the past in the beach parking lots,
will be renting umbrellas, beach chairs, backrest, and volleyballs.
In response to published Notice Inviting Bids, bids were received
and publicly opened and read April 24, 1980. Proposals were mailed
to seven (7) concessions and notices were published in accordance
with City Charter and Municipal Code provisions. One (1) bid was
received. The proposal had a fixed yearly rate to be adjusted
annually March 1st. Price adjustments will reflect the percentage
of change of the Consumer Price Index plus five percent (5 %).
This contract will run for two (2) years with an option of one
(1) year, if the City reaches agreement with the State of California
on renewing Beach Usage.
Recommendation
It is recommended the award be made to the highest bidder K & D
Beach Rentals, in the amount of $8,000.00 per year.
