This report concerns award of bid in the approximate amount of $8,000.00 including
tax, for Uniform Rental. This purchase will be charged to various City Accounts.
Background
The uniforms are for City employees in various City locations. In response to
published Notice Inviting Bids to furnish and deliver Uniform Rental Service per
specifications, bids were received and publicly opened and read June 19, 1980.
Proposals were mailed to twenty -one (21) suppliers and notices wn-re published in
accordance with City Charter and Municipal Code provisions. Seven (7) bids were
received as listed on the attached Summary of Bids. References were checked for
L & N Uniform Supply, the low bidder, all references indicated satisfactory and
good performance by the uniform supply company.
Recommendation
It is therefore recommended the award be made to L & N Uniform Supply as the best
bidder in the approximate amount of $8,000.00 including applicable tax.
