Funds for this purchase have been budgeted in account number 11 -400- 525 -0007 950. Background The Gametime Corocord Spacenet is the registered trade name for a new unique three dimensional rope network for children to climb. The " Corocord" is a, special rope with a core of galvanized steel wire rope tightly wrapped with nylon yarn designed for extra strength, safety, and durability. This piece of equipment is to be installed at Sorrento Beach at the foot of the California incline. In response to published Notice Inviting Bids to furnish, deliver, and completely install one (1) Gametime Spacenet in accordance with City specifications, bids were received and publicly opened and read October 7, 1980 3:00 P.M. Proposal forms were mailed to fifteen (15) prospective suppliers and notices were advertised in accordance with City Charter and Municipal Code provisions. One (1) proposal was received. This type of Recreational Equipment is unique to Gametime Inc. Recommendation It is recommended that the award be made to Gametime C/O Moore Recreation and Park Equipment in the total amount of $21,689.60, including tax, as the lowest and best bidder.
