SUBJECT: Recommendation to award bid for (1)Fork, Lift Truck Bid No.
1547
Introduction
This report concerns award of bid for (1) Fork Lift Truck in the total
amount of $11,529.62 including applicable sales tax. Funds for
this purchase have been budgeted in account number 01- 100 - 242 - 000 -950.
Background
In response to published Notice Inviting Bids to furnish and deliver
one (1) Fork Lift Truck in accordance with City specifications, bids
were received and publicly opened and read September 9, 1980
3:00 P.M. Proposal forms were mailed to sixteen (16) prospective
suppliers and notices were advertised in accordance with City
Charter and Municipal Code provisions. Nine (9) proposals were
received as shown on the bid recap. This unit is for use in the Stores
Warehouse for more efficient handling and storing of material.
Recommendation
It is recommended that the award be made to the Johnson Lift
in the total amount of $11,529.62, including tax, as the
lowest and best bidder.
