SUBJECT: Recommendation to award bid for Bus Brake Block
Sets Bid No. 1537
Introduction
This report concerns award of bid for Bus Brake Block Sets in the
total amount of $9,656.99 including applicable sales tax. Funds
for this purchase have been budgeted in account number 35- 955 -100-
000 -000.
Background
In response to published Notice Inviting Bids to furnish and
deliver Bus Brake Block Sets in accordance with City specifications,
bids were received and publicly opened and read 6/19/80 at 3:00 P.M.
Proposal forms were mailed to eight suppliers of brake block
materials and notices were advertised in accordance with City
Charter and Municipal Code provisions. Four proposals were
received as shown on the attached recap sheet.
Recommendation
It is recommended that the award be made to ATPA, Inc
Temco of Illinois) in the tot 1 amount of $9,656.99,
tax, as the lowest and best bier.
