SUBJECT: Recommendation to award of bid for two (2) Power
Sweepers with Scrubber attachments Bid No. 1540
Introduction
This report concerns award of bid for Power Sweeper /Scrubbers
in the total amount of $29,438.64 including applicable sales
tax. Funds for this purchase have been budgeted in account
number 01- 500 -421- 000 -950.
Background
In response to published Notice Inviting Bids to furnish and
deliver two (2) Power Sweepers with Scrubbing attachments in
accordance with City Charter and Municipal Code provisions.
Two (2) proposals were received as shown on the attached
recap of bids.
The Mar -Co Equipment Co. has offered their model #1000 Sweeper
@ $12,300 each and their model #950 scrubber @$12,300 each.
Our need, for use by the Street Maint-, Dept,,' is for two (2),machines
both capable of Sweeping and Scrubbing in the mall & Parking Structure.
The Tenant company has proposed their model #240 Sweeper with
• scrubbing attachment to do both sweeping and scrubbing with
• single machine.
Recommendation
It is recommended that the award be made to the Tenant Company
in the total amount of $29,438.64, including tax, as the
lowest and best bidder
