13 -F: Request of Councilmembers Davis and Winterer that the City Council
allocate $5000 in discretionary funds to sponsor the Westside Ballet of
Santa Monica (a 501(c)3 nonprofit) and its collaboration with the Santa
Monica - Malibu School District, Santa Monica College and the Santa Monica
Community Orchestra to produce The Nutcracker at the Broad Stage and to
provide free admission to SMMUSD classes. This program will enhance the
SMMUSD arts curriculum by providing the opportunity to see a full - length
ballet with a live orchestra and students will have the chance to interact
with both dancers and musicians.
