Staff recommends that the City Council adopt the attached ordinance.
Executive Summary
At its meeting on September 23, 2014, the City Council introduced for first reading an
ordinance amending Chapters 4.44 and 4.45 of the Santa Monica Municipal Code on
smoking to regulate electronic smoking devices similarly to tobacco products. The
ordinance is now presented to the City Council for adoption.
