AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA MONICA AMENDING ARTICLE VIII, CHAPTER 1 OF
THE SANTA MONICA MUNICIPAL CODE BY AMENDING SEC-
TION 8100 THEREOF AND ADDING SECTION 8102 THERETO
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Section 8100 of the Santa Monica Municipal Code
is hereby amended to read as follows:
SECTION 8100. That certain document entitled
"Santa Monica Building Code 1970," three copies of which
are on file in the office of the City Clerk for use and
examination by the public, is hereby adopted as the Build-
ing Code for the City of Santa Monica, and shall be re-
ferred to, together with amendments thereto, as the "Build-
ing Code.11
That certain document entitled 01Santa Monica
Housing Code 1970," three copies of which are on file
in the office of the City Clerk for use and examination
by the public, is hereby adopted as the Housing Code
for the City of Santa Monica, and shall be referred to,
together with amendments thereto, as the "Housing Code."
Each and all of the regulations, provisions,
penalties, conditions, and terms of said Building Code
and said Housing Code are made a part hereof as though
fully set forth herein.
No person shall erect, construct, enlarge,
alter, repair, move, remove, convert, demolish, occupy,
equip, use or maintain any building or structure or
fixture attached thereto, in violation of the regula-
tions contained in said codes hereby adopted.
SECTION 2. Section 8102 is hereby added to the Santa
Monica Municipal Code to read as follows:
SECTION 8102. That certain document entitled
"Miscellaneous Construction Regulations,f4 three copies
of which are on file in the office of the City Clerk for
use and examination by the public, is hereby adopted as
the Miscellaneous Construction Regulations for the City
of Santa Monica, and shall be referred to, together with
amendments thereto, as "Miscellaneous Construction Regu-
lations."
Each and all of the regulations, provisions,
penalties, conditions, and terms of said miscellaneous
construction regulations are made a part hereof as though
fully set forth herein.
No person shall erect, construct, enlarge, alter,
repair, move, remove, convert, demolish, occupy, equip, use
or maintain any building or structure, or fixture attached
thereto, in violation of the Miscellaneous Construction
Regulations hereby adopted.
SECTION 3. The Mayor shall sign and the City Clerk shall
attest to the passage of this ordinance. The City Clerk shall cause
the same to be published once in the official newspaper within fif-
teen days after its adoption. This ordinance shall become effective
after thirty days from its adoption.
