Introduction
This report concerns award of bid in the total amount of $6,157.90,
including applicable tax, for one (1) computer terminal for use by
the Water Division. Funds are available in job order account number
61030 -000, Water Division Development. This computer terminal will
be used in conjunction with the distribution system analysis service
authorized by Resolution 5134 CCS.
Background
In response to published Notice Inviting Bids to furnish and deliver
a terminal in accordance with City Specifications, one (1) bid was
received and publicly opened and read December 12, 1978. Proposal
forms were mailed to twenty (20) potential suppliers and Notices
were advertised in accordance with City Charter and Municipal code
provisions.
Hewlett- Packard Company, the sole bidder, proposed a total price of
$6,157.90 which includes the terminal, sales tax, and a one -year
service contract.
Recommendation
It is recommended that the award be made to Hewlett - Packard Company,
the sole bidder, in the total amount of $6,157.90, including tax.
