SUBJECT: Recommendation to award bid for City Hall roofing,
Bid No. 1408. C/ Gf /(�v. a //,3
Introduction �G��✓�d���
This report concerns award of bid to replace roofing on five (5)
areas of the City Hall building in the total amount of $24,950.00,
including applicable tax. These areas total approximately 22,100
square feet. Funds are available in account 01- 100 - 243 - 000 -920,
City Hall Structures and Improvements, to a maximum of $49,155.00.
Background
In response to published Notice Inviting Bids, one (1) bid was
received and publicly opened and read in the office of the City
Manager October 5, 1978. Proposal forms were mailed to sixteen (16)
roofing contractors and notices were advertised in accordance with
city charter and municipal code provisions. T.E. Harms Roofing
Contractor submitted a lot bid, including tax, of $24,950.00.
Recommendation
It is recommended that the award be made to T.E. Harms Roofing
Contractor in the total amount of $24,950.00, including tax.
