This staff report examines the situation and recommends: 1) raising the monthly minimum $15.00 to $100.00 per month m . 2) maintaining the current rental percentage of 25%; and 3) extending the lease for one year. Background: Dorothy and Doreena Adams have been operating the fortune telling booth on the Santa Monica Pier as " DOREENA, the Palm Reader ". They were among the first to sign the Master Lease on July 20, 1976, and have been promptly paying $85.00 per month. Their rental percentage is the highest on the Pier ( 250 ) which during fiscal year 1977 -78 resulted in an additional percentage rental of $492.50 paid above their minimum rental, for a total rental of $1512.50 (gross sales $6,050.00).
