SUBJECT: Recommendation to award bid for refuse bin leach bars.
Bid No. 1417.
Introduction
This report concerns award of bid for five hundred (500) refuse bin
adjustable leach bars in the total amount of $9,661.90, including
sales tax. Funds for this purchase are available in account number
80 -975- 127 - 000 -000, Refuse Bin Revolving Account.
Background
These adjustable bars are required to refurbish refuse bins used for
commercial and apartment locations where available space is a con-
sideration. In response to published Notice Inviting Bids to furnish
and deliver the bars in accordance with City specifications, bids were
received and publicly opened and read in the office of the City Manager
November 21, 1978. Proposal forms were mailed to twenty -five (25)
prospective bidders and notices were advertised in accordance with
City Charter and Municipal Code provisions. Six (6) bids were received:

Company, as the lowest and best bidder, in the total amount of $9,661.90,
including sales tax.
